Short curriculum:

Started teaching at EMÜ in 2005 as associate professor and took over as professor and head of department in 2009. Also has apposition in the University of Edinburgh. By background a forester and landscape architect. Also carries out some consultancy work and is President of the European Council of Landscape Architecture Schools

Research interest:

Landscape and wellbeing, outdoor recreation planning and design, forest landscape design, modernism and Soviet heritage in the landscape

Outdoor recreation planning and design, landscape and visual impact assessment, landscape character analysis, landscape pattern and process, technogenic landscapes
